Students are constantly being bombarded with IT in their lives. They come to school as digital natives and we are their immigrants. We need to teach and learn using these tools, as they are using them anyway. We need to guide them through this shift in education, or we will have a group of unmotivated, disengaged youth. What inspires me? Humanity. That we can be resilient in the face of uncountable woes, that we can show kindness in the face of cruelty, that we can smile even in the worst of calamities, and that we(some of us at least) possess the intelligence to create solutions to our problems even in the smallest of ways never ceases to amaze me. As a human beings I believe, there are virtually no bounds as to what we can do with the power God gave us!

Youth involvement in community development and social change. I became aware of it at an early stage in life and what currently impresses me the most is the Ministry of Youth Affairs incorporating the ideas of a 13 year old Kenyan, Trevor Langat kibet in the budget speech. This shows that youth ideas are no longer being shunned and that our leaders are moving in the right direction in appreciating what youngsters have to offer. ( اقرأ المزيد)
